First of all, I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas with family and friends and take the opportunity to wish you all a Very Happy Healthy, Peaceful New Year.
This latest newsletter is long overdue as your Committee have been busy raising money with thanks to Viv Binder and Clive Mills, trying to obtain the right portacabins for the site now it has been cleared, plus we have a couple of items still to fulfil with SODC Planning which should not prove too difficult.
The problem we are having with the portacabins is scarcity in the size needed as we understand the Home Office have been buying up to house immigrants and also the concrete problem that has been found in schools, hospitals and Government buildings has created demand. We are in touch with one supplier an had hope to have visited the site prior to Christmas but will do so very shortly.
Our aim is still to be up and running in the Spring so we ask for your patience, and we are doing all we can to achieve our aim but it has seemed a bit of a stalemate at times with two steps forward and one back, but rest assured we will get there with great determination.
I should like to thank my Committee and other who have chipped in to help out wherever possible during 2023.
